Just finished listening to the latest Robo Cast show and as ever the inevitable review by yours truly is here hot off the press!
Pan Papason are first up with there upbeat dance track "Delik Boys", following that is The Staticfield with "Psychohead" which I would say was a mix of chillout/experimental. The mid-paced track "Traveller" by Kickratt is next up a kind od dance/experimentation song.
Synchro Nine Factor are next on the robo turntable with a heavy industrial track called "Less Than I". The brilliantly named Bass Kittens offering "Last Girl On The Moon" is more of a new wave track which I have to say I enjoyed it. More experimental music next with Jean Montag & Daniel Lambert with "Ump"
Warning! Robot joke is next before we hear the welcome return of Our Daughters Wedding to Robo Cast with there new wave treat "Raincoats & Silverware". "Techno Negro" by Mega Jon is an electro/techno track with some neat bass sounds and a dose of a Kraftwerk influence. The mellow "Greenwich Village" by Arthur Oskan follows, quite a nice piece of music this one, great pad sounds on this track that is followed by the experimental "Nugget Matic" by Transformantra. Loved the intro to "Bad Influence" by Deviant Uk which reminded me a bit of the industrial side of Gary Numan, even vocally it sounds like Gary Numan!!
"Voltage Creatures" by SynthIT starts with some strange analog sounds (Think Kraftwerk "Radio Activity" album!) very experimental track. Now on to my offering which is a completely new recording of my dark electronic ballad "I Once Was A Machine", a track which has been very popular even in early demo form! This version is a track off my forthcoming album "The Grey Room" (New title it was "Systematic", any way I will leave the listener to share there oppinion of this new version, those that have n't heard it - think "Replicas" album by Gary Numan!
Next up is the experimental "The Moon's Daughter" by Bak. Fine Time's "Night Train" is an electronic drums n bass track, some interesting electronic sounds on this one. "So Called Friends" by Louis Guidone is a strange one to call as it has a bit of everything, synthpop, experimental, industrial, a very intriguing track. The show closes with "Patrick McGoohan" by Hensel 3000 which again is an interesting track with great pads and synth sounds.
