Well I have just finished listening to the New Robo Cast Xmas Special and as ever here is a full review of the show.

Great intro by the Robots to my electronic backing track for "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" they are on form already! The first serious track is the beautiful "Carol Of Bells" by Craig Furkas. Next up is swedish artist Thermostatic with there new wave track "The Box" which is a great catchy track with a superb chorus .... i'm feeling festive already! The Matey Blokes make a welcome return to the show with the ambient "Artic Lullaby". Next a song every one knows it is a brilliant cover of "Stop The Cavalry" by Toffeetronic, a very good cover. Toffeetronic feature in the next track to which is called "Neon's Dead". A band I have come acroos recently is Parralox who are from Australlia and there contribution is a track called "Sharper Than A Knife" a fantastic electro track guaranteed to please.

Moving on we now have a fantastic re-working of the Depeche Mode track "People Are People" only the track is called "Jingles Are Jingles" a very clever use of the mode track. Be warned jokes are a plenty from the Robots!! Thankfully they move aside for another excellent electronic track in the shape of "Sonic Boom" by Aural Lab. New to me any way are Audio Gourmet who provide a great piece of chill out music which is called "Forgotten Dreams". Now next is a band I have been championing for some time now, Northern Kind, an electronic duo who I think have a very bright future Matt's electronics are influenced quite heavily by Vince Clarke and work superbly with Sarah's vocals. On the show they provide a new version of the brilliant "Tears + Tinsel, a superb track! Look out for them in 2009 as they have a new album due out.

DMB Experiment's "Aggressor" follows as is a mid paced electronic track with some good sounds in the track. Jonteknk another artist I have been impressed with recently returns to the show with a Neon remix of "King Of The Mountains" and as you would expect from Neon (Gary Wright) it is very much Kraftwerk led and ticks all the right boxes as far as I am concerned. The robots are back with their jokes!, they really have been pulling far to many cheap christmas crackers!! The experimental track "Analog - Part5" by Martin Carradus is next with some weird and wonderful sounds!

"Numbers One To Seven" by Gordon & Gunn is the next track and is a good electronic track which had hints of an Ultravox influence in it. Next up is Jacques C with "A Moral Life" a fast paced electro track. Red Box Recorder are the next band on the show with "Always Winter Never Christmas" (Great Title by the way) which veers towards experimental in sound. The very talented Neil Fellowes (Geigertek) is next with a beautiful track called "The Garden (Beneath A Christmas Mantle" and reminded me straight away of Vangelis.

The final piece of the Robo Christmas Special jigsaw is provided by my good self and is an electronic version of the Wizzard track "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day", sublime or ridiculous .... you decide.

A fantastic way to round off the year I have to say, tune in you won't be disappointed
